Eagle Crest Family Newsletter
November 11, 2021
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
A major goal we have as a school this year is to connect and reconnect with our families and our community. While we are still being cautious about having volunteers in the building or hosting more traditional large indoor events, we are constantly working on incorporating new ways of sharing our learning and special activities with you, our biggest fans!
Two social media accounts that you can follow for more day-to-day updates and noteworthy moments are our Facebook and Twitter accounts. SVVSD is also very active on these platforms and you can learn a lot about district happenings and initiatives by following those accounts or our district hashtag, #StVrainStorm.
We are so proud of our students and staff members, so we know that it’s important to take the time to recognize our achievements, tell the story of our learnings, and share our excitement about how students learn and grow together. Please join us in the celebration!
Warmly,
Amanda

Dean of Students Message
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
As you may know, Eagle Crest has been an Eco-Cycle Green Star for the last 12 years. That means we focus on reducing waste, increasing recycling, sustaining a compost program, improving the environmental awareness and motivation for all students, and in turn lowering our school's trash bill and impact on the environment.
Next week is Colorado Recycles Week! Eco-Cycle and Green Star Schools will be highlighting drinking water quality in Colorado and our option to reduce plastic waste by reminding our community to Reduce, Reuse, and Refill! See this flyer for more information and links to fun games you can play at home!
In class and on the announcements each day next week we will highlight how students can participate in Colorado Recycles Week!
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney
Dean of Students
PS- If you are looking for another way to help our school reduce waste, we are giving out about 25+ disposable masks every day! Please help your child remember to bring a cloth mask to school each day (and even two in case one gets lost). If you are missing masks, there are LOTS of lost masks in the Lost and Found!
