Superintendent Updates
- M-Step and Field Trips
As a reminder, it is important that students taking part in M-STEP this spring have an appropriate environment that is free from disruptions. Therefore, any field trips being scheduled for the remainder of the school year should not occur during the M-STEP and other state assessment testing windows.
- Elementary and Secondary Calendar
The attached Elementary and Secondary Calendar (2A) reflects the updated timelines, conference window and other information through the second marking period. This updated information is highlighted in yellow.
Teacher Evaluation- Phase II
Phase II of the teacher evaluation process includes a mid-year check specifically relating to student achievement growth progress, commonly referred to as domain V. At this time teachers should be reminded to thoughtfully reflect upon and complete the Phase II written component of their 2019-2020 Student Achievement Growth Analysis and submit the attached (15A) to his/her evaluator by Friday, January 31, 2020. Evaluators must review, provide written feedback and return the document by Monday, February 24, 2020.
The Phase II mid-year check may be completed as a document exchange or as personal one-on-one meetings at the request of either the evaluator or the teacher. Where concerns exist, the personal one-on-one meeting is strongly recommended.
