His Role

In 1897, Trotsky helped found the South Russian Worker' Union.

Coming to Power

After escaping prison, he ran into Vladimir Lenin and became a part of the Socialist Democratic Party.

He was considered as the neutral party in the forming of the Social Democartic Party. When Lenina and Martov had ideas, he was also stuck in the middle. The other leaders saw this as disloyal.

After the assassination of the Russian Tzar, Trotsky went back to Russia to support the uprisings. Through this, he became leader of the movement.
