Manvel Mustang Parent Newsletter
September 2019
PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
We will also continue to focus this year on 21st Century skills so our students are prepared with the skills needed to succeed in our ever-changing world. Each classroom will be again spending time on Project Based Learning (PBL). Please visit our website (www.manvel.k12.nd.us) for more details about PBL and many other important items. At MPS, we want to show each of our students their amazing potential that awaits them this year in their classroom!
We are excited to offer a breakfast program this year at MPS! Students may eat breakfast from 7:45 a.m. - 8:15 a.m., or after they get off the bus. Breakfast is $1.50 for students, and $2.00 for adults (free and reduced rates will apply). If you plan to have breakfast or lunch with your child, please call the school ahead of time so we are able to plan accordingly. Also, because safety is our top priority for all students, we ask that you check-in at the office and wait for your child to come to the breakfast/lunch line instead of interrupting instruction in the classrooms. Thanks for your cooperation!
Please know that your feedback is important to us and we welcome your calls and input! Mr. Bakke and I are planning to have some "Community Coffee" times throughout the school year. This will allow us to visit with parents and the community about your concerns and ideas to help move our school forward in a positive direction. Together we will make this school year full of learning and growing! Be sure to scroll through this newsletter and share with other family members and friends of MPS! We are happy you are connected to our school and appreciate your support as we work to empower every student, every day!
Looking forward to a GREAT school year!
~Mrs. Hiltner
