Have you heard of the 31-Day Read-Aloud Challenge? Sarah Mackenzie from the Read-Aloud Revival hosts a yearly challenge.
Help your kids kick off a brand new year by connecting with ideas, books, and (best of all) each other. It's a wonderful (and fun!) way to slide back into good reading habits after the holidays.
You can recommend your students sign up with their families or modify it for use in your classroom. I know that schedules are tight and sometimes we don't make the time to do read-alouds as often as we would like. Set a goal for the number of days in January you want to make sure you read-aloud to your class. The students will help you remember!
