Great News for Millard North Girls Golf

Congratulations to the Mustangs Girls Golf for winning Districts! They head to state next Monday in Norfolk, Ne. Go Mustangs! Take State!

PSAT Registration Closes- October 9th

Reminder that last day to register for PSAT is this Wednesday, October 9th

Students can register in the counseling office.

There is a $25 fee for the test that must be paid at the time of registration.


The Assistance League of Omaha will be offering a PSAT review session on Saturday, October 12th, from 8:30a.m. - 11:30a.m. Students must pre-register and pay the $15 fee at:

Support Varsity Cheerleaders!

October is Healthy High School Challenge month! Support your varsity cheerleaders and our school by purchasing this week's bonus items from the Mustang Express c-store or the Cafeteria! This week's bonus items are Otis Spunkmeyer Cookies in all flavors and Pure Life Water! Purchasing these items helps us to earn points in this national competition!

Socktoberfest

Attention all 2nd period classes - Socktoberfest is officially underway! This fundraiser is put on by your FCCLA and benefits the Lydia House! How can you help those in need? Bring in any new and gently used socks to your 2nd period class. We will collect socks until the 16th! Whichever 2nd period collects the most socks will win donuts! See the posters around school for more information.

Interact Club ~ Keep Cozy Initiative

Is last year's coat too small? Did anyone give you gloves or a hat you're not using? If so -- consider donating your stuff to someone who could use it! Interact Club is sponsoring the "Keep Cozy Initiative." We will be collecting new or gently-used coats, hats, or gloves to be donated to the Lydia House. Bring Socks for Socktober, and bring coats, hats, and gloves to Keep Cozy for Interact Club from October 7-15.

ASVAB

Students who are interested in enlisting in one of the military branches must take the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) at some point. The four Millard High Schools are combining to offer the ASVAB at Millard South on Wednesday, October 16 at 8:00 AM. If you are interested, and are not taking the PSAT, sign up in counseling. If you have any questions, see Mr Gabel.

National Center for Women in Information Technology ~ October 9th

Any girls with Computer Science experience who are interested in applying for the NCWIT award (National Center for Women in Information Technology), please come by Mr. Ringenberg's Room 1627, Wednesday, October 9th from 3:30pm to 4pm for a brief informational meeting.

Attention SHH! Our mandatory October meeting is this Wednesday, October 9th at 3:30 in Lecture Hall B. The makeup meeting is Thursday, October 10th at 7:15am. You must pay your $20 by the meeting. Don't forget to turn in your shirt designs by then. If you cannot attend, notify Mrs. Jensen immediately.
