What a fun start to October! Our eighth grade students attended the parade to cheer on our alumni and all of the other high school students, while our basketball and cross country teams and the Raider Leaders walked in the parade to support our high school!
After several delayed meets due to rain, our cross country team ended on a high note. Both the girls and boys teams took second place at the final meet of the year, along with several individual accomplishments!
On Friday after conferences, our teaching staff participated in professional learning. We started the day with a book study based upon our keynote speaker in August. This book study was facilitated by our teaching staff and the focus is on how everyone in our organization is a leader! School Board Update
K8 Dinner Meeting
On October 7th, members of the HHASD school board, along with members of the school boards from Erin, Herman-Neosho-Rubicon, and Hartford Joint 1, along with all District Administrators met to discuss K8 issues. A dinner will be held in the spring and will also include members of the HUHS school board and district administrator.
During the first week of October, we recognized the countless hours our School Board members contribute annually to helping drive the vision for HHASD. See our student video tribute here: https://youtu.be/Aa9hAx8ccxg.
HHASD held its second annual meeting on Monday, October 28th. The meeting was chaired by immediate past member Tony Kellicut. Presentations were made by School Board President Chad Gartzke, District Administrator Tara Villalobos, and Business Manager Denise Howe. Specific budget details and mill rate and tax implications can be found in our annual publication which is linked below.
