Principal's Message
Greetings Elm Families,
We hope everyone had a wonderful week. It was a busy week here! The Lady Cougars hit the courts and both teams brought home wins, along with our Elm Scholastic Bowl also winning their first match! Congratualations to all!
Ms. Fuentes's class was busy in Accelerated ELA working through complex assessments of individual learning styles and listening to Beethoven while they worked! What an awesome experience for our learners!
Take a few minutes and complete the 5Essentials Survey for Elm Middle School. We greatly value all of your feedback. Also, if you'd like to order Spirit Wear click here!
Elm Middle School Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for February 15th and 16th, appointments are open. Please click the link for instructions on how to sign up for conferences! Scheduling will close at noon on February 14th.

Assistant Principal's Corner - Parent/Teacher's Conferences
Good afternoon Elm Families,
As you prepare for conferences with your students' teachers it is important to consider a line of questioning that can give you the necessary information to help your students be successful going forward. Please inquire regarding the following:
- Is my student's grade/level of performance a result of his or her foundational skills, apathy, attendance, missing work, retaking quizzes or tests/projects?
- What, specifically, can my student do outside of school to better prepare for their coursework?
- What resources can Elm Middle School offer to assist my student in the weeks and months to come in order for him or her to be successful?
Thank you all for being a part of our educational team; your role in your students educational success is pivotal . Please let me know if I can be of assistance to you in any way; I look forward to seeing you at conferences.
Sincerely,
Mr. David Parolin
Dean's Den
Hello Elm Families!
We have noticed some congestion heading south on 76th court in the morning. We ask that if you are dropping off your child, you pull over to the side (when possible) so that the flow of traffic can continue, and more students can be dropped off in a timely manner. Thanks for your understanding.
I had the opportunity last week to check out some of the work being done in Ms. Thrasher's art class. Check out their most recent project- students creating their version of the "monster" they were as a child. Awesome work, Ms. Thrasher!
