Though he did not know it at the time that would be the most points he scored in a single season. After his finial season in 1988 Gretzky was traded to the Los Angeles Kings.
Los Angeles Kings
Wayne played with the Kings for 7 years, starting in 1988 and playing until 1995. When Gretzky started with the Kings it was the teams first year in the NHL. St.Louis Blues
Gretzky played with the Blues for less than one season. He played 18 games and left the team with an unimpressive total of 8 goals scored. Before the 1996 season even ended Gretzky moved the the New York Rangers
New York Rangers
Wayne played for the Rangers for 3 years and finished his career in 1999. In his final season he managed to score only 9 goals. Unfortunately The Great Gretzky ended off on a bad note. Even though his last season was not the best, Wayne Gretzky was still a great hockey player.
