TechnoExpo 2013
Over 2,500 parents, students, faculty, and adminstrators attended the 3rd annual TechnoExpo at Byron Nelson High School on February 28. Students from Pike presented their technology projects to packed filled room. 7th grade student Leslie Guerrera won a mini iPad.

New eBooks Added to Pike's Library Collection
There have been 284 new eBooks added to our collection! Students and faculty may access our eBook collection on any device with Internet access either through the destiny link http://destiny.nisdtx.org/ or by downloading the Destiny Quest and Follett Reader apps.
The 25 Book Challenge Database is open for entries!
25 Book Challenge Campaign Update
Students who have read 25 or more books will be invited to a fieldtrip to see the Frisco RoughRiders on May 14th. So far we have 39 students who have achieved this goal and are on the bus to Frisco, Texas.
Students Write and Produce Book
Students from Ms. Goldstein's class read Jaguar by Roland Smith. In an awesome assignment they wrote and produced a book that is now added to our collection.
Student Book Club
The next student book club will meet on Thursday, March 28th in the library at 8:30 a.m. to discuss The False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen.
Book of the Month (BOM)
This month's (BOM) will be Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi by Cindy Neuschwander. This book will be presented by the Pike MS math department.
