The Trekker Times
May 2, 2022
Principal's Pen
May is here! This looks to be a very busy month. We have fields trips, our May Crowning, musical productions, 8th grade graduation, and many other events taking place. We will do our best to keep SchoolSpeak updated for you, but do not hesitate to call the office if you have any questions.
In one week, on Monday, May 9th, we have our annual Religion Bee competition. Fifth through eighth graders from the Catholic schools throughout the Diocese of Marquette compete to share their knowledge of Catholic teaching and trivia. Our 5th through 8th graders will be attending. Parents, please be aware that the bus will be leaving from school at 7:15 a.m. that morning in order to be on time for registration. Permission slips can be found in today's Monday Mailer. Lunch will be provided at the event.
Each Friday for the remainder of the year, we will have what we call a Spirit Day. Students may wear their Trekker t-shirts on these days. They may also wear jeans, their uniform pants, or any loose fitting pants, not leggings. Call the office if you have any questions or you need to purchase a Trekker t-shirt.
Our Caught Being a Christian Award this week goes to Michael Covitz. During Spanish class, Michael decided to let a classmate go ahead of him to recite the alphabet. He was practicing the virtue of generosity. Great job, Michael!
God bless,
Angela Oller
10th Annual Golf Outing
We are looking for volunteers to help out at the BBCS Golf Outing on Friday, June 10. Volunteers are needed to lead activities between golf holes and clean up afterward. If interested, contact Becky Couper (rebecca.couper@gmail.com). If you cannot volunteer for that day but would like to help in some way, we suggest buying Scrip cards and donating them to be used as prizes at the outing. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you and God Bless,
The BBCS Golf Outing Planning Committee
