GREAT THINGS @ TPS!
Smooth Start The beginning of the school year is always better when you've got friends to share it with! | Sign Ambush The PK Sign Ambush surprised the new members of our SCS family with yard signs. | Paint Teachers and volunteers worked hard this summer to renovate the Pre-K and Kindergarten hallways. |
In Remembrance New stations were added outside of the gym in remembrance of Mrs. Jennifer Shull. | Keeping It Clean Mr. Pride keeps the school floors polished like a mirror. | Weather Drills Aren't "Ruff" Beginning of the year weather drills are easier when Ferdinand leads the way. |

There have been 267 student absences since August 3, 2023 (20 days of school).
IMPORTANT DATES
Here are some dates that you need to know:
Have Coffee with the Principal on Friday, September 1 at 9:00.
Students do not attend school on Monday, September 4, Labor Day.
Tuesday, September 5, is an SCS Data Day. No students attend that day.
We have a parent meeting on Thursday, September 7, at 2pm for parents of students in grades K-2, Grades and Grading will be discussed. Please make plans to attend.
September is ATTENDANCE month. We will have events all month long celebrating good attendance. Check out the flyer below.
Tuesday, September 19 is Family Game Night at TPS from 5:30-7:00pm.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION
Threadgill Primary Essential Information
Breakfast is served from 7:30am until 7:50am daily.
Both breakfast and lunch are free for all students.
The doors open at 7:30am.
Learning begins at 8:00am.
(If you arrive after 8:00am you must enter the school with your child and sign them in.)
Pre-K dismisses at 2:30pm.
Grades K-2 dismiss at 3:00pm.

Meet Mrs.TuckerI am a wife, mom of 4 amazing daughters, 2 ‘son in loves’. My family and I moved here from Florida 7 years ago. I’ve worked in SCS mentoring program for the past 6 years— love coffee, worship music, working out, and hanging with my family! | Meet Mrs. CablerI’m Mrs. Cabler and I teach first grade. I LOVE learning (especially about history and animals). My husband Bryan and I live in Florence with our two dogs, two cats, and two axolotls. | Meet Ms. CiscoMy name is Ms. Cisco. I teach second grade at Threadgill. Last year I taught 4th grade at LEW. Sheffield has a special place in my heart. I enjoy spending time with friends and family, photography, cooking, and playing with my toy poodle, Maple. |

I’m Mrs. Cabler and I teach first grade. I LOVE learning (especially about history and animals). My husband Bryan and I live in Florence with our two dogs, two cats, and two axolotls.
Meet Ephraim RussellMy name is Ephraim Russell, and I am the Music teacher at TPS and LEW and the Assistant Director at SHS. I am from the Shoals area and attended Brooks High School. I graduated from UNA in 2017 with a BS in General Music with a focus in trumpet and piano. In 2021, after completing an internship with the Sheffield High School band, I graduated with a BS in P-12 Instrumental Education. I taught 7-12 Music/Band at Greene County Schools for the 2022-23 school year. This will be my first year with Sheffield City Schools. Go Dogs! | Meet Hannah UnderwoodMy name is Hannah Underwood. I have been given the privilege to love and teach your pre-K little ones this year! I have a passion for teaching children and this makes my 4th year teaching & making learning fun! I love Jesus. I am a huge UNA fan! My favorite colors are gray, blue, and tan. I look forward to getting to know you and your little one. | Meet Melissa Waldrep My name is Melissa Waldrep, I have been a pre k Auxiliary teacher for 4 years. I have two daughters, three grandchildren, and my sweet puppy, Baby. I've been married for 21 years and reside in Cherokee. I love all things fall and if it were up to me It would fall all year around. |
