      • Calories: 2,000
      • Carbohydrates: 225-325 g
      • Protein: 101.9 grams for males and 70.1 grams for females
      • Sodium: 2,300mg
      • Fat: 65 g
      • Sugar:10 teaspoons

*These numbers change according to age, gender, and activity level

Why "Fad" Diets Don't Work

Fad diets focus on severe calorie reduction. Because of this the body's natural survival instincts to kick in by slowing down metabolism and gaining more fat because it thinks the body is starving itself. These diets also cut fluids, which are essential to normal body function. This all causes the body to gain weight faster after the diet is discontinued.
