Semester 1 Student Report Cards

Semester 1 report cards will not be sent home with students. This year, they will be printed and mailed by the district and available online in ParentVUE and Student VUE. If you do not receive your child's report card by Wednesday, January 26, please contact the school. Below is the district timeline for report cards.

  • Report Cards will be printed by the district Friday, January 14 after 4PM.
  • Report Cards will be attached to the Student Documents as a PDF and available in ParentVUE and StudentVUE by Sunday, January 16.
  • Report Cards will be mailed the week of Tuesday, January 18.

Important Dates to Note

Monday, January 17th - No School in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday

Tuesday, January 25th - Digital Learning Day - all students will be learning from home

Spring Club Sign Up Information

Clubs and extra-curricular activities will be returning this spring! Sign up for clubs will open on Monday, January 17th at Noon and end on Wednesday January 26th. Club sign-ups are limited and will be on a first come first served basis.

The link to the registration form will be available on the Taylor ES Website www.gcpsk12.org/taylores at noon on the 17th. Please reference the Spring Club Flyer for additional information and club descriptions.

Invitation To Participate in Instructional Resource Review Process

Instructional Resource Review Committee Applications Now Available
Please assist us by posting the following notice on your school's webpage, social media, and/or newsletter as appropriate.

GCPS invites community members to participate in resource review committee
Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) is inviting parents and community members to apply for the district’s Instructional Resources Review Committee (IRRC), a group charged with evaluating print and digital instructional resources. Feedback from the IRRC and teacher reviews will be considered in the selection of resources to pilot in the district. This year’s IRRC will convene on Feb. 22 at the J. Alvin Wilbanks Instructional Support Center (ISC) located at 437 Old Peachtree Road, NW, in Suwanee. Instructional resources will be reviewed for courses in the areas of Health (grades K-9), Mathematics (grades K-5 and select High School courses), Career and Technical Education (select courses in grades 6-12), and Social Studies (select elective courses in grades 9-12). Learn more about the IRRC and complete the application online. The deadline to submit completed applications is Jan. 24.

Permissive Transfer letters went home with students on January 14 and are due January 24. If you play to apply for a Permissive Transfer for the 2022-2023 school year, please return forms by the deadline. If your student is on a Permissive Transfer and NOT returning to Taylor ES, please contact the school at 770-338-4680.

All rising Kindergarten students planning on attending Taylor Elementary for the 2022-2023 school year on a Permissive Transfer, MUST have the Permissive Transfer form signed off from their home school first (Gwinnett County Public School of attendance based on home address) before we can process transfer.

Lastly, per GCPS policy, transportation for Permissive Transfer student is the responsibility of the parent/guardian.

The Georgia Milestones EOG Elementary School Schedule 2022 has been published.

Important Health Update

If a student, parent, sibling or someone in your home is being tested or has been tested for COVID-19, the student must stay home until the results obtained. A copy of the negative test results must be given to the school upon return.
