COVID Vaccine Documentation
As we prepare for second semester and the likelihood of increased COVID cases after winter break, we are asking parents of students who have received the vaccine to provide documentation of their student’s COVID vaccine to the school nurse. While COVID vaccine documentation is not required, it helps the school nurses in two ways:
1. Students wo are asymptomatic, with documentation of being fully vaccinated, are not excluded from school if exposed to a positive case.
2. Nurses can better estimate the number of fully vaccinated students in a building which is useful information when there are outbreaks.
Again, while COVID vaccine documentation is not required, it would be helpful to the school nurses.
Vaccine Documentation can be sent to Dr. Kase at ChrisKase@smsd.org or hand delivered in our school office.
