Lesson 6 Sample Slide

Here is Tanaka san's slide from Lesson 6. Click the Voki link below to hear her read the lines. The town map was created by Sasha K! Great Work Sasha!

Let's look at what Tanaka san said line by line:

ぎんこうはスーパーとゆうびんきょくのあいだです。

The bank is between the supermarket and post office.

じんじゃはえきのとなりにあります。

The shrine is next to the station.

えきはスーパーからとおいです。

The station is far from the supermarket.

コンビニはレストランのむかいです。

The convenience store is across from the restaurant.

This is a great slide because it features grammar and vocabulary from lesson 6 and has four complete and accurate sentences with a picture and audio recording to accompany it.

Remember to cite your sources! If you use pictures of photos from the internet, be sure to site them in your project. If you don't want to site your sources, you can always take your own photos or draw your own pictures! I love photography and all kinds of artwork - even stick figures! Be creative and have fun. ^_^

Choosing Pictures for your Slides

Matthew S. and Malik J. asked me if the slides need to have a picture or several pictures that illustrate all 4 lines on each slide. The answer is no.

As long as the picture makes sense for at least one of the lines on the slide, then that picture would be acceptable. For a slide like the one Tanaka san created above, a picture of a convenience store would work well. A picture of Bill Murray eating fish tacos would not work at all. :( Please choose your pictures wisely, or draw your own to make your project even more awesome. :)
