Are you interested in helping someone in need for the Holidays? Please fill out the Volunteer Form.
Face Masks: If your family is willing to donate a box of child size disposable masks that would be much appreciated!! Our supply of face masks is running low; the district routinely provides us with masks but we go through approximately 50 child size disposable masks per day. Please remember to send your student(s) to school each day with a mask, as well as an extra mask in their backpack if possible. Please also keep in mind that all students taking the school bus or daycare van to and from school are required to wear masks at all times while riding the bus/van.
Thank you for your partnership!
Have a great weekend,
Julie Gulley

Panorama Survey (Family-School Relationships)
Dear Slate Hill Families,
We thank you and your family for being our valued partners as we work together to educate your child(ren) in our district.
New this year, we are asking families to participate in the Family-School Relationships Survey , a 20 minute survey, where you have the chance to tell us about your experiences with us as a school district. We want to better understand you and your families’ needs so that we continue to provide high quality, rigorous learning experiences that meet the needs of all our students.
The survey shouldn’t take more than 20 minutes to complete and will also be administered during the same two-week window as the student surveys - from November 8 - November 19, 2021.
Please note the following:
You will NOT need an access code. Once the survey is live on November 8, you will be able to just click the link to access the survey.
You will not be able to “stop and save” your responses. So, please set aside a time where you can complete the survey in one sitting.
If you have children at multiple schools, you will have to take a survey for each school.
- We thank you in advance for your thoughtful responses. If you have any questions about the Family-School Relationships survey, please don’t hesitate to contact us in the office at 614-450-5000.

December 8th is Picture Re-Take Day!
Counselor's Corner
With the month of October comes many potential triggers for students. Many spooky and scary shows and movies (including the new Netflix hit that many students are watching : Squid Game) can be seen by children by browsing through channels, streaming options, and youtube videos.
This article does a great job reviewing how to monitor your child's media use and reviews the TV and game ratings for children. Additionally, here is a helpful article on setting up parental controls on common streaming services, which could be extremely helpful.
Please continue to find resources on the Slate Hill School Counseling Website and reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
