Parent Resource Center

Our Parent Resource Center in the Media Center is open when school is open from 8:00 am - 3:30 pm. Parents can take advantage of internet access, email, parent portal and many other options on the computer in the media center. There are other resources like flash cards, maps and games that parents can check out for two-week intervals. We can also provide some materials for research projects: colored paper, bulletin board paper, etc.

Social Distancing

During the current pandemic circumstances, we are striving to adhere to all social distancing guidelines. This includes maintaining 6 feet distance as much as possible, wearing a mask, and washing hands as often as possible. While we do not require a mask, we highly encourage all students, staff and guests to wear one. Also, if a guest comes in the building, we will be checking your temperature. If your temperature is higher than 100.7, you will not be allowed to come in the building.

Carpool Lanes at Arrival/Dismissal

Parents, we need your help to ensure that our carpool lanes are as safe as possible.

  • We ask that you maintain no more than a 15 mph speed limit.
  • Also, please do not allow your child to leave or enter your car until you reach the designated crosswalk area right in front of the main entrance.
  • We maintain two lanes in the drive-through for carpool.
  • We keep the middle lane clear for safety purposes.

Deadline for Items to be Dropped Off

Parents, please make sure your student has all belongings and necessary items before being dropped off in the morning. We will not be accepting items dropped off at the school after 8:30 am.

COVID-19 Precautionary Measures for this Year

  • We will not be using lockers this year
  • Water fountains will only be used to refill water bottles. Please allow your child to bring a clear, see-through water bottle to refill.
  • No group restroom breaks. Students will go on an individual, as-needed basis.
  • No dressing out for P.E. Gym lockers will not be used.
  • Alternate seating in cafeteria.
  • Alternate seating in classrooms.
  • No large group gatherings.

Cats Cash

Students who practice positive behavior may be recognized by their teachers or staff members. Staff members give out CATS cash to students who are exemplifying the "Woodland Way" and practicing good behavior. That CATS cash may be used as entrance into events such as dances, etc. or to buy items from our PBIS store.

PBIS Rewards App

Big picture
We are excited to announce that we are now using the PBIS rewards app. This will take the place of CATS cash. Teachers and staff can use their phone or computer to give a student a point or digital CATS cash for doing the right thing. PBIS stands for positive behavior interventions and supports. We will have a PBIS store where students can go to redeem their points. Students can access their points from Class Link. Administrators and staff can also give adults points and they can also use their points to redeem prizes. We want to recognize people for following the Woodland Way and doing the right work.

Afternoon Checkout...

Parents: If you need to check your student out from school early, please do so before 3:00 pm. No students will be allowed to check out after 3:00 pm. Thank you for your support and assistance with this.
