One School. One Vision. One Family.

As we embrace the month of November, I wish to express my gratitude to the entire Imagine-Chancellor Family. Every day when I come to school, I am always greeted with smiling faces and sweet gestures by the incredible members of this family. I am extremely blessed and thankful to be part of this outstanding school community.

I am so proud to share that we were able to collect over 25 large boxes full of various items/supplies for our Imagine Schools North Port families affected by Hurricane Ian. These items were delivered this past Monday and the school was extremely grateful for this outreach of generosity. A huge shoutout to Ms. Brandenburger's Middle School Leadership Class for coordinating and organizing all of the supplies. This was a true example of positivity in action.

I encourage everyone to take time to count their blessings each day in November and demonstrate an attitude of gratitude. We all have so many things to be thankful for, so lets take time to focus on the positive things in our lives.

Thank you and always remember we are Imagine Chancellor STRONG!

With love and appreciation,

Ms. Standley

The Imagine Chancellor PTSA is proud to announce its annual Read-A-Thon

Fundraiser starting Monday, November 14th-Friday, December 2nd!

We want ALL of our students to develop a love of reading for pleasure, for knowledge, and for adventure. We are hosting this fundraiser that not only supports our school but also supports each student's personal reading development goal.

How does it work?

Every day beginning Monday, November 14th through Friday, December 2nd, participants will earn money by reading books. Participants will get pledges from family and friends to support their efforts. Sponsors can either pledge a certain amount of money per minute read or make a flat donation.

How do you get pledges?

We have two simple ways to get pledges, both online and offline:

Online - Your Student's Pledge Page:

Visit and search for your student’s name.

From there, you can share their link with friends, family, and your community via

e-mail, Facebook or Twitter.

Offline - Click on the button above to access the donation page. Please return the completed donation page along with payments by Friday, December 2. We can accept cash or checks

made out to ISCCPTSA.

Both online and offline methods are encouraged. Our goal is 100%participation, so no amount is too small.

E-Sports is officially at Imagine-Chancellor

We are extremely excited to announce E-Sports is officially up and running on our campus this school year! Students in our middle school class have started competitions against other schools with great success...3 students have won tournaments!

What is Esports?

Esports (electronic sports) is a fast-growing gaming league encompassing STEM, STE(A)M, and coding where students play in safe and organized environments. Thousands of students now compete in leagues at the high school and collegial levels. Over 150 colleges and universities offer esports college scholarships. Imagine Chancellor is proud to offer three different esports clubs – K-2, 3-5, and middle school. We are afforded world-class technology and games for students to practice coding, gaming, teamwork, and perseverance.

Chicks are Hatching in Ms. Contreras' Class

Recently, Ms. Contreras' 3rd grade class had a great opportunity to learn and watch the life cycle of a chicken. They received eggs donated by a student's farm and kept the eggs under an incubator until they were ready to hatch. They were able to witness chicks hatching from the eggs. Middle school students came to mentor them on how to handle the newborn chicks. A few days after hatching, the chicks were returned to the farm. This was a great learning experience for these students.

High Ridge Landing Apartment Complex Student Drop Off and Pickup NOT PERMITTED

Recently, we have been contacted by the management office at the High Ridge Landing Apartment Complex informing us that students are being dropped off and picked up in their parking lot. This is not permitted. If your child is a car rider you are required to go through the car line. If they are a walker, the apartment complex IS NOT an option for pickup. We greatly appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

Handicap Parking Spots

Please ensure handicap parking spots are not used for drop off or pickup of students. These spots are designated for those with handicap permits. If you do not have a permit, please use available parking spots for drop off and pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.

Student Tardiness

Student achievement is of utmost importance at Imagine-Chancellor. Teachers must maximize instructional minutes to promote student learning success. Tardies are a major disruption to the learning environment and student learning. Students miss extremely important intervention/enrichment time. Additionally, learning stops while the tardy student settles into his/her seat.

Student tardies continue to be a problem. We strongly encourage families to ensure their child(ren) are setup for success each morning by arriving to school on time. The instructional day starts at 8:30 am. Therefore, it is expected for all students to be in their seat ready to learn at this time. We appreciate your support in this matter.

Helpful Hint: Morning arrival car lines have extremely little to no traffic between 8:00-8:15 am.

Visitor Policy

All visitors must provide government issued ID to enter the school building. Visitors will be issued a visitor badge that must be worn at all times. When exiting the building, all visitors must check out and turn in their visitor badge.

Arrival Procedures Reminders

  • Students who are enrolled in before care will be able to enter the campus daily from 7:15-7:45 am off of High Ridge Road. Parents will receive special car tags to identify as before care students.

  • All students will use hand sanitizer prior to entering the building.

  • Access to the school off High Ridge Road will not be accessible from 7:45 am-8:45 am.

  • Parents who are not enrolled in before care will enter the campus off of Miner Rd following traffic down Imagine Way. Gates will be open to all students at 7:50 am each morning.

  • All other students will not be permitted to enter campus prior to 7:50 am.

Dismissal Procedures Reminders

Staggered dismissal times will remain the same:

K-2- 3:00 pm

3rd-5th- 3:15 pm

6th-8th- 3:30 pm

Dismissal Sides

K-2: South side of the school

K-8 students with siblings: South side of the school

3rd-8th students without siblings: North side of the school

· All students will remain in their classroom during dismissal

· PikMyKid will be utilized as our dismissal program

· Parents must check-in using the PikMyKid app or provide the designated staff member the assigned dismissal number for their child(ren). Please place your PikmyKid dismissal tag on your rear view mirror or dashboard for staff to easily see.

· Gates will be open to all students at dismissal times. Dismissal traffic will flow down Imagine Way (back road off of Miner Rd) and onto north or the south side of the campus based off your child(ren)'s designated side.

· If you have multiple children in different grade levels, please come at the oldest child’s release time to pick up all of your children on the SOUTH SIDE of the school.

· Please do not come earlier than your child’s assigned dismissal time. Parents that have children in grades 3-8 that come early will be directed to go around and come back at their assigned time.

School Uniforms

InUnison will remain our school uniform vendor for this school year. All of the shirt colors will remain the same as well as the shorts/pants colors. If you wish to order online for this year, the link to the uniform website is below.

School Food Services

We are still awaiting approval from the state to be eligible for the grant to receive free food services for this school year. Since we are still awaiting approval for ALL students to receive free breakfast and lunch, students who do not qualify for free/reduced meals will have to pay October 1, 2022. IF we are awarded the grant, we will notify all families of the change.

The updated Free and Reduced Lunch Program application is attached for all families. We strongly encourage all families needing food assistance to apply for the free and reduced lunch program. Please complete the attached paper application or complete the online application and return to the school as soon as possible. The threshold for qualification changes from time to time and even if you have been denied in the past, you may qualify now.

If you have already submitted your application for the 22/23 school year, there is no need to complete another application. Once you have completed the application, we will notify you of the status of your application once processed. If your child qualifies for free/reduced lunch, this will be honored for the 22/23 school year.

Again, we know and empathize that the end of this grant may be a hardship for some families. Please apply for the free and reduced lunch program. Depending on the number of people on our campus who qualify for free and reduced lunch, this helps makes us eligible for additional grants.
