Would you please take a survey?
Upon completion of the survey, you are provided the option to be entered to win one of six $25 Visa Gift cards!
Equally as important - please be sure to forward this link to friends, family and co-workers that live or work in Clay, Platte or Ray counties! We really need to hear from those not involved directly in our prevention work as well.
The survey can be found HERE!

Announcing a five week class...
“Passages Class for Teens & Parents”
When: Thursdays: April 6, 13 & 20; May 4 & 11, 6:30-8:15 pm.
Where: The Clay County Juvenile Office, 351 E. Kansas, Liberty
What: A safe space for teens to turn their troubles into gifts and to have a more meaningful passage to adulthood. Skills and creative activities are offered for four main passages: physical, emotional, mental and social. Parents are encouraged to explore parenting skills that can enhance the teen’s changes. Ancient initiation stories are told to awaken each person’s unique style and imagination. Teens and parents will be together for the first part of the evening and separate for the last half.
Who: The seminar is intended for Clay County residents, children ages 13 to 16, and with at least one parent attending. Parents may also attend without their children.
Facilitator: David Strabala, LCSW, juvenile office counselor and storyteller, will lead the group, along with other juvenile office staff.
Cost/Reserve a place: There are no fees, but you must call to be included in this class, as space is limited. Contact David Strabala at 736-8405 with your questions and to reserve your place, or e-mail him at david.strabala@courts.mo.gov. A commitment to attend all five classes is expected. Refreshments will be served.
Note: The last Thursday of April there will be no class.
