was the largest and most ambitious American New Deal agency, employing millions of unemployed people and established in 1935
The WPA was very successful at relieving the economic crisis.

This program helps me understand just how bad the Great Depression was

The WPA is not around today but it influence other organization that are around today like the Reconstruction Finance Corporation (RFC) or Federal Emergency Administration (FERA) programs.
