Parents...if you have a STES neighbor/friend who is not receiving this e-newsletter, have them let their teacher know and they can let us know so we can have it fixed in the distribution list. We want to make sure all information is passed to as many parents as possible.

Jump Rope for Heart Update
Each grade level event was a huge success! Students had a great time jumping, hula hooping, and exercising to raise money for the American Heart Association. Instant prizes have been handed out while other prizes will be handed out at a later date. Coach G and the entire staff sends out a huge thank you for your help with this fundraiser for such a worthy cause.

DC trip update for parents - Sam's Club fundraiser opportunity
Dear 5th Grade Parents,
Our field trip to Washington D.C. is coming up very quickly, and while we have
done an exceptional job in raising money towards our trip fees, we are still in
need of some funds to purchase our TShirts and some other incidentals for our
students. We are working on getting donations from local businesses, but so far
have only been able to meet half of our goal. Sam’s Club has offered to allow us to raise money by pumping gas and washing windows for donations at their gas station! We are currently scheduled for Saturday March 26th from 9am to 4pm. Please sign up using the Sign Up Genius at http://goo.gl/QsUWa6 If we are able to meet our goal previous to this date with local business sponsorships, we will cancel Sam’s Club. Please be sure to enter a phone number when you sign up so you can be called if we do cancel!
If you have any questions, please call Monica Brady at 910-376-9336 or email
Thank you to our local business sponsors:

Bus riders - sign up for Remind messages
All students received a memo on Thursday/Friday about how to sign up for Remind messages that we can send out late buses, double runs, and any other bus related concerns. By doing this, we can communicate with individual buses quickly as soon as we find out a change.
As a reminder, the messages only go to cell phones. You can sign up as many phones are you would like and regular text message fees apply.
