Community of Learners -Year of the Family
What a great way to display different ways that our students are a community of learners. Take the time to go and find this bulletin board and read the different things our students have said. They're all mine...TOO!
It's days like these that help me realize the reason why I am in education; KIDS! This group of 5th graders brought me some beautiful pictures after they found the "area of my face". Nothing like making a real world problem! So glad they weren't working on volume.

LLama, Llama books author Anna Dewdney
Over the years millions of Llama Llama books have entered the homes of children across the USA and Canada. Our hearts are saddened by the news of Anna Dewdney, Author of the Llama Llama series, passing away over the weekend. Dewdney was described as an "outspoken advocate of literacy," and her final request reflects that passion: in lieu of a funeral service, Dewdney asked that friends and fans read a book to a child instead.
Why don't you read one of Anna's books this week in remembrance of a gifted children's author.
