Home to some of the greatest American architecture of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, from Frank Lloyd Wright’s Darwin Martin House Complex to Louis Sullivan’s Guaranty Building, Buffalo has been called by The New York Times “a textbook for a course in modern American buildings.”
Arts and Culture
The Albright-Knox Art Gallery houses a world-class collection of modern and contemporary works, including iconic pieces by Pollock, van Gogh and Warhol. Allentown is considered one of the city’s most artistic neighborhoods and features a thriving artistic scene by a diverse group of artists.
Sports
Cheer for the Bills team, Buffalo’s resident football team at the Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, or root for the Buffalo Sabres, one of the National Hockey League teams, at the First Niagara Center, in their quest for the Stanley Cup.

Proud History of Dental Education
Established in 1892 as the School of Dentistry with 46 students and 10 faculty, the programs and scope of the school as well as its name and orientation, have expanded. Today, the school offers education and training leading to the D.D.S., M.S., and Ph.D degrees, as well as certificates of proficiency in seven specialty practice areas.

The School of Dental Medicine at the University at Buffalo is undoubtedly one of the most outstanding health professions schools. The mission of the School of Dental Medicine at UB is to educate oral health care professionals, biomedical scientists and educators; to discover medical and biological knowledge; and to deliver high quality, oral health care. The School improves the oral and general health of the people of the State of New York through its teaching, research and service.

The National Institutes of Health has awarded $12 million to the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences to lead a comprehensive quality assurance program in NIH-funded labs conducting HIV/AIDS and related clinical research programs worldwide.
