Crazy Doc's rant and raves...
Please take this week to rest, reflective, and return ready to assist your students through the final push. With assessments, field trips, and EOY activities this time goes by so fast!
A couple quick notes:
- From the intruder drill
- -Do not pull the blinds, we need to be able to see into your classroom
- -Be quiet, hiding in your room does not matter if you can be heard
- Lounge
- -please do not send students to fill water bottles from the lounge (yours or theirs)
- -do not send students to pick up copies
- -we are trying to keep the lounge locked, but please keep it a student free zone so it can be respite for those who need it.
Remember, we are always striving for 4:1 interactions with our students. We put in 4 positive interactions for each negative (discipline) interaction. Think of the students you are struggling with are you at the 4:1 ratio with those students? If not, look for ways to strengthen that relationship.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Quick hits:
- As you start to put your calendar together for the year, please avoid field trips on Wednesday (Wings), Thursday, and Friday.
- Please keep all tardy passes and send them home quarterly with the report card envelopes.
Positive Phone Calls
In case anyone is wondering what their attendance has looked like, or how many tardies your students have accumulated throughout the year, please feel free to stop by and I can share that data with you. The K-2 winner for the year up to this point it Mrs. Olive's class with 95.22% attendance and the 3-5 winner up to this week is Mrs. Squibb's class with 95.49%. Thanks for continuing to encourage your students to be at school every day!
Teacher Spotlight
I wanted to give a shout out to Dr. Tarrasch for going the extra mile with her time/reward for the consistently well-behaved fifth graders.
You are appreciated!
