Car Rider Arrival Procedures

1. All students will be dropped off in the back of Bedminster Elementary School. Parents are asked to pull into the parking lot off of Center School Road. Vehicles may not park on Center School Road.

2. To ensure a smooth and safe arrival for our kindergarten students at 8:50 a.m., please plan to arrive during the window of 8:35 a.m. and 8:47 a.m. to drop off your children at school.

3. Parents will remain in their vehicles as their children will be greeted by a Bedminster staff member and then directed into the kindergarten entrance where they will be directed to their homeroom.

4. In an effort to ensure your child’s safety and to minimize classroom disruptions, any dismissal change for a student must be done in writing at least 24 hours in advance. We do understand that emergencies may arise that won’t allow for the advance notice. Please know that each emergency will be reviewed on an individual basis.

5. Please note that the entrance on Fretz Valley Road will be for buses only. Cars will not be permitted to enter at this location during arrival and dismissal each day.

6. Throughout the 2015-2016 school year, the Bedminster Township Police will monitor the traffic on Center School Road. Please be sure that the above steps are being followed to ensure your child’s safety and the safety of all Bedminster students and staff during arrival and dismissal each day.

Mrs. Nolan's 5th grade Social Studies Classes

Mrs. Nolan's 5th grade Social Studies classes studied the Revolutionary War. They participated in a debate between Loyalists and Patriots. They were assigned a particular Loyalist or Patriot and had to argue why colonists should remain loyal to the king or why they should break away from British rule.

Odyssey of the Mind

Lottie (Mr Sadowsky's Class) along with her teammates from Diebler Elementary; Laura, Myla, Jessie, and Katie represented Pennridge School District in the Primary Division at the Southeast Pennsylvania Regional Tournament of Odyssey of the Mind. Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem-solving competition. The girls spent months together writing a funny play about an object that comes to life when touched by something magical. The girls created all the costumes and props and performed in front of an audience. They also worked together to solve an on-the-spot spontaneous problem. They demonstrated teamwork and creativity and did a great job!

The tournament date was February 27 at Pennsbury H.S.

Enjoy an evening of good food and great company while supporting the students of Bedminster Elementary!

In order for the biggest fundraiser of the year to be successful, we need parent help. There is still time to sign up to volunteer for a variety of opportunities. When it comes to volunteers, Race for Education is a Team Sport! Join our Letter Writing Team, our Set-Up Team, Accounting Team, or a number of other teams as we work together to make this fundraiser a success for our students. All help is sincerely appreciated. This is a great way to further support the students and teachers of Bedminster Elementary.

Last year the PTG provided pretzels to students during PSSA testing. This year we would like to provide buckets of “Brain Food” to each classroom. Which will be replenished throughout the PSSA testing period, which is scheduled from April 11th through April 29th. Studies have shown that when children skip breakfast or don’t replenish their blood sugar levels with healthy snacks, it can adversely affect their mood, mental abilities and outlooks. Children may feel anxious, feel mentally negative or irritable. Regardless of individual views on standardized testing, we want to provide all our students with the tools they need to be the most comfortable and successful during test time. We are asking for your help to build our buckets of "Brain Food” by sending in individual packages of peanut/tree nut safe snacks by Thursday, April 7th. Some suggestions for snacks are goldfish, raisins, animal crackers, cereal bars, bananas, clementines, apples, apple chips, dried fruit, pretzels, crackers etc. Thank you! A list of peanut/tree nut safe snacks can be found at

Please consider donating blood during the joint Bedminster PTG and Deep Run Presbyterian Church Blood Drive. The drive will be held on April 25, 2016, from 2-7 p.m. at Deep Run Presbyterian Church, 16 Irish Meeting House Road, Perkasie.

We officially kicked off the ninth annual Race for Education on March 9th. The students are very excited and motivated to bring in their labels and stamps in order to support their school while also earning tickets that can be used for chances to win a variety of awesome prizes. Students can also use their tickets to vote on the grand prize that will be awarded if we hit our $20,000 goal. Does your child want to see Mrs. DiPaolo made into a human hamburger, slimed, or covered in Gatorade?
Don't forget to come on out on Race Day - May 13th!

Without the countless hours our dedicated volunteers provide in so many roles, the Bedminster Parent Teacher Group would not be able to provide the opportunities we do for our children. Lisa Simkanin has been volunteering at Bedminster since her son Daniel was in Kindergarten - he is now in 5th grade and will be leaving us for middle school this year. Lisa has volunteered for numerous events each year including: School Store, Race for Education, Book Fair, Spirit Day, and Fifth Grade Farewell. She has also volunteered on the Yearbook, as a Homeroom Parent, Lunchroom Monitor, and for the past two years she has served as the Chairperson of the 4th and 5th Grade Dance Committee. This is a role that she will be missed in next year! Thank you! From Lisa: I volunteer for my son! I wanted to share in any aspect of his school experience that I could. I hoped by volunteering that I not only made Daniel's elementary school experiences and memories better but also those of any child that I came in contact with! I have loved seeing them in the school setting, this other world that we entrust our children to. It is so interesting to see their personalities in school; how they interact with one another, the teachers and staff. I love to see their smiles and know that they are happy. Through volunteering, I have been able to be a reason behind some of my son's smiles and those of his friends and classmates. To see their happy faces as I have been getting to know them through these past six years has been such a rewarding experience for me! Even though Daniel and the children are the main reason that I volunteer, it has also been a rewarding experience in getting to know the teachers, staff, and parents at Bedminster. Since Daniel's days in kindegarten, I have gained a new circle of friends which grows with each passing year. Through volunteering, I have become part of a school community and family that I am glad both Daniel and I have been able to share in!
