NES Notes Home

We are Kind, We are Learners, We are Leaders

December 6, 2021

Dec. 8 is NOT and Early Release Day! School will be in session 9:00 - 3:15 pm

Note from the Principal

Hello NES Families,

It was so wonderful having our students back to school last week. We look forward to two full weeks of school before Winter Break. Here's a few reminders:

  • Wednesday will be a full day, not an early release. Students will be dismissed at their regular 3:15pm time.
  • We will be sending student report cards home on Tuesday, December 14th. We were supposed to send these home prior to student/family/teacher conferences, but then the flood changed our plans. We will send them home in student NV folders along with a cover letter.

Please reach out if you have any questions. Thank you for being such a wonderful, supportive community!

Picking Students Up From School

Please call the office if your student has a change in transportation the day-of. Teachers appreciate close communication with families, especially now that we have Remind, but please don't rely on teachers to check their Remind messages for day-of changes. Calling the office is the best bet to make sure we get students where they need to go.

Parent do not start arriving for student pick-up at until 3:00pm at the end of day. Our last recess of the day ends at 2:45pm and we want to make sure they can walk in safely. We will be closing our school gate each day until 2:50pm. This will ensure all students are safely inside. Thank you!
