Back to School Information
Be sure to check out https://kleinisd.net/familynet for some great ways to connect, get ready for back to school and stay up to date on all things Klein ISD.
ASIU: Students enrolled in a Klein ISD school during the 2021-2022 school year are automatically re-enrolled for the 2022-2023 school year.
All parents of returning students MUST complete the Annual Student Information Update in Skyward for each student between July 18-August 5. It is important to update your Skyward information each year to ensure that in the case of a school emergency or the need to send parent notification, we have the correct phone number and email address.
Dismissal/Transportation Information
There is no parking at the front of the building due to it being a fire lane.
One of our main goals is to get your students back to you at the end of the day safely.
We are a very large campus and work to get all students home very quickly. The end of the day can get hectic, so we ask for your help, cooperation, and understanding.
If your child will be going home a different way, please let the FRONT OFFICE know with a handwritten note. Telling the teacher is wonderful, but sometimes they can't check voicemail or email until it is after school. If you have an unexpected change in transportation we ask that you call the main front office. (832-484-6500).
We ask that you have the call made by 2:45pm. If messages are not cleared or given in time, please know the teachers are trained to send kids home their regular way unless cleared by administration. We CANNOT take a child's word for it when it comes to leaving school safely.
Car riders
Please use this form for a Car Rider Tag Request. If your child had a car tag last year, you are able to indicate that on the form as well (you will have the same number). Parents will be given a car rider number to display on their rearview mirror during pick-up (A hanger works great to display your number). A child will not be released to a car without a car tag. If you do not have a car tag, you will be required to park and go to the front office to get your child.
All car riders will be picked up in the cafeteria parking lot. Two lines will form and load at once. It is imperative that you follow all Krahn employee instructions for efficiency and safety purposes.
Bus riders and day cares are dismissed from the classroom escorted and loaded with teacher supervision. Please note that once children are on the bus, they must follow the bus route to the designated drop off assigned by Klein Transportation.
Bus Information will be available soon at THIS LINK
Before and After School Day Care: If you are interested in Campus Kids before or after school, please visit this link for more information. Please note Campus Kids is not Klein ISD sponsored and is a 3rd party business that rents our facilities.
There are also several other daycare facilities that drop off/pick up from Krahn. For a complete list of options, please see our front office.
Campus Kids is picked up in the cafeteria. A Campus Kids employee will greet you and follow their sign out procedures. Campus Kids students must wait until all Klein ISD buses and dismissal traffic is finished before being released to the cafeteria or signed out.
Walkers/Bikers will be escorted by our teachers to the gate by the track. Students are encouraged to walk straight home. PreK, Kinder, and 1st grade students must have an adult/designated older sibling present at pick up (gate by the track) with the walker tag matching their child (these will be given out by the teachers). We encourage you to talk with your students about the safety and responsibility of walking to/from school.

No student will be assigned a homeroom teacher if ANY medical information or immunization record is incomplete and will be unable to start class until cleared by administration.

Counselor Corner
We are so excited to welcome our new and returning Cardinals! As a way to set students up for success we implement PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support). This system is a proactive support while preventing unwanted behaviors through positive reinforcements while building relationships. An incentive we would like to implement is a Cardinal Cart. This cart would be filled with items any student can purchase with their Cardinal Cash weekly.
We have included a link below to the amazon wish list to help supply items for the cart.
If you would like to donate, you may access our Cardinal Cart Amazon wish list here.
Thank you,
Mrs. Lang and Mrs. Anderson
