Howdy Happenings
September 2022
A Note from Your Principals
Wrangler families,
We have loved getting to know your students and other family members so far this year! Williams has been a very busy place already with Slide Day, getting in to our House system and of course, LOTS of learning with high engagement. Our Wranglers are getting their procedures down. They are respectful and eager to learn.
With the start of the school year and new administration, staff, and students there have been many logistical considerations and changes. We are thankful for your flexibility and understanding as we work through the things that work and those that do not. Everyone's willingness to adapt to changes is appreciated!
As always, we are here for you. We are excited to continue to build relationships with your students and family members as we continue through the school year.

Please take a moment to read through the information from Nurse Annexy:
- Parents, please contact me immediately if your child has a life-threatening allergy, asthma, seizures, dietary restriction, or any other medical needs. We need to make sure your students’ medications or dietary needs are being met while they are in school. Your child’s health and safety are of utmost importance!
- All students must have updated immunization records. If your student does not have updated records and are missing vaccinations, they may be held from school. Please contact the nurse if you have any issues.
- See to Succeed is back! If your child needs glasses, please let me know and I will send home the See to Succeed packet. See to Succeed is a free field trip for student’s 1st grade through 12th grade. They will receive a full eye exam and if lenses are needed, they will get a pair of glasses. Contact the nurse with any questions.
- If your child tests positive for Covid-19, please notify the nurse as soon as possible for quarantine instructions and dates.
- Mask wearing is by parental discretion. Please pack extra masks if you wish for your student to wear a mask. We no longer have any masks to give out.
- As always, no student may be at school with a fever (100.0 an up). A student may return once they have been fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications. This also applies to diarrhea and vomiting. Any student that returns before this time frame or still has symptoms will be sent home and must remain at home until these issues are cleared.
- Extra clothing is encouraged for all grades. Children have accidents, slip in mud and spill food. Your student is always more comfortable in their own clothes. Please consider packing at least one full change of clothes in your child’s backpack.
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month! Williams is GOING GOLD every FRIDAY in September for $1. Please join us by BEING BOLD and GOING GOLD!
We are collecting donations for Gabriella's Smile Foundation. Every dollar counts in helping this foundation bring awareness and aid families in their battle. Thanks for your generosity in helping us.
We LOVE kids...so GO BIG Wranglers, we are ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!
Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run is back this fall! Girls on the Run is an after-school program designed to inspire girls of all abilities to recognize and embrace their inner strength. Lessons emphasize the important connection between physical and emotional health. Through safety modifications and virtual programming, dedicated and trained staff are ready to adapt to local community needs. At the end of the program, girls complete a 5K, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment, setting a confident and goal-oriented mindset into motion.
The season begins the week of September 6th on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2:30-4:00 pm.
Stay tuned for math news from our Instructional Coach!
