BISD Curriculum & Instruction
BISD Resources for Accountability and Implementation of C&I
Where do I start? TEKS Resource System is the when and what you teach. If you teach Reading, Math, Science or Social Studies this is where you go first to get your Year at a Glance and Instructional Focus Document for each unit. | Creating Assessments - Unit Tests BISD requires that teachers put all unit assessments into DMAC for data analysis. We will not be doing CBA's, but more frequent unit assessments for timely formative feedback and due to the switch to 9 weeks grading periods. This year students can take the test online and accommodations are embedded. 17 Minute Video Test Creation to Data DMAC Resources and Video Tutorials for each application | Data Driven Instruction BISD utilizes the Data Driven Instruction process for unit assessment creation, planning through backward design, giving assessments and then reflecting on the data. Unit assessments and Universal Screeners of NWEA MAP are used for PLC data talks. |

These 5 critical practices are reflected in your lesson plans. | T-TESS The Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System (T-TESS) focuses on providing continuous, timely and formative feedback to educators so they can improve their practice. BISD uses this evaluation system to grow our staff and to assure our vision is implemented in the classroom. All TTESS goals, observations, and conferences are recorded in DMAC.
