Letter from Principal Nelson.....
Dear Diamond Path Families,
Today is Veterans Day. Veterans Day has always held special significance to me. My father served in the army at the end of World War II and during the Korean War. Like millions of others, he swore an oath to defend our country, liberty and democracy. His generation did not readily share details of their service or about warfare. But, as I learned more and more about how his experiences shaped his life, I better understood his sacrifices and dedication. It has left a lasting impact on my life.
Veterans Day is a chance to thank others for serving in the proud and honorable tradition of the United States military. The United States is a country filled with the promise for tomorrow because ours is a history shaped by those who have sacrificed and served. We can never thank the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces enough for risking their lives to ensure our safety and security.
We also remember the families of our veterans who have made, and continue to make, their own sacrifices while serving as the foundation for our veterans. Their love and support should be honored on this truly special day.
At Diamond Path, we aspire to become contributing global citizens of the world. I want to personally thank every Diamond Path school and community member who is a veteran or who supports and loves a veteran. No matter what branch of service or role you or your loved one fulfilled in our military, we appreciate your dedication and your continued commitment to public service in our school system. Thank you for being a positive influence in the lives of our community’s youth. Your actions provide us with a model of how to better the world around us through selfless service.
Your Principal,
Rob Nelson

Diamond Path Culver's Night - Monday, November 28th
Monday, November 28th is Culver’s night at the Apple Valley Culver’s! Go with your family and friends to eat some yummy food and be served by the 3rd grade teachers! The best part is, 15% of what is sold that day (no time window, it includes the entire day) comes back to Diamond Path! That money is then allocated to certain programs per month at Diamond Path. Be sure to mention "Diamond Path" when ordering, either in store or at the drive-thru window. Watch for a flyer in your friday folder the week before to find out what time our 3rd grade teachers will be at Culver's!
PTO Family Gym Night - Thursday, December 1st!
If you're interested in volunteering, please contact Kris Dewulf at kristina.dewulf@yahoo.com.
We hope to see you there!

Spotlight on Magnet Tours!
Magnet Applications - NOW OPEN!
- If you live in the Diamond Path attendance area, you do not have to complete a magnet application.
- If you currently have a magnet student attending Diamond Path, you do not need to complete an application again. You are a magnet school family if your child attends a magnet school by being selected through the magnet lottery.
- While you do not have to reapply for your current manget student, you MUST APPLY for any siblings you would like to attend a magnet school. It is not guaranteed that the new silbing will be selected in the lottery, however, "sibling preference" is the highest priority in our lottery system.
- The Magnet lottery window is from Friday, October 14th though Wednesday, January 4, 2023. Families will be notified of placement no later than Friday, January 13, 2023.
Friendly Reminders and Expectations:
Transportation: We are not allowed to write bus passes for students to ride the bus home with other students, unless it's an emergency, which will then be determined on a case by case basis.
