Geethika Cherukuru Advances To Tennis State Championships
Congratulations to Girls Tennis player Geethika Cherukuru on advancing to the MSHSAA State Tennis Championships! Geethika earned the trip to the individual State Championships on Tuesday with a win over the #1 seed in the State Sectional round. She will now compete October 25th and 26th at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Missouri for a shot at winning a State Championship. Good luck to Geethika this week!
Girls Golf Team Advances To MSHSAA State Championships
21 Choir Students Named To Metro 8 District Honor Choir
Choir members from twenty-five school districts across the area recently auditioned for the Metro 8 Honor Choir. Our very own Howell Choir led the way with 21 members named to the Metro 8 District Honor Choir. Six of our Howell members were also selected to be eligible for the All-State Choir. You can find the list of students below. Congratulations to these young men and women for representing our Howell Choir so well at both the local and State level!

Football Wins Back To Back Conference Championships
Football To Host Playoff Game November 1st
The Vikings will host their first round district game on Friday, November 1st at Howell at 7:00 p.m. Whether the Vikings would host a home game in week 11and beyond would be determined following this Friday's game at Rock Bridge. A win on Friday night would most likely ensure the Vikings would host on November 1st and November 8th. The post-season ticket prices for the remainder of the year have been included below. Please remember that with the start of the football post-season on November 1st, these are MSHSAA sponsored events so punch passes, student passes and senior passes cannot be used. Tickets will go on sale before school, after school and during lunches the week of October 28th. Good luck to our football program as they look to make a strong post-season run!
Football Post-Season Admission Prices:
November 1st - 1st Round District - $5 Adult & $2 Student
November 8th - 2nd Round District - $7 Adult/Student
Novmeber 15th - District Championship - $7 Adult/Student
November 22nd - State Semifinals - $7 Adult/Student
November 30th - State Championship - $10 Adult/Student

Boys Soccer Clinches 3rd Straight Conference Championship
On Saturday night the Boys Soccer program earned a 3-1 win over FHC to clinch as least a share of the GAC South Conference Championship. This is the third straight conference championship for our Vikings and the seventh in the last nine years. Over the course of the last nine seasons our Vikings have amassed a 166-49-6 record, won 7 of 9 conference championships, won four district championships and also brought home the soccer programs first ever State Championship. Congratulations to Coach Enright and the Boys Soccer program on their continued success and good luck as they prepare for the post-season.

Softball Falls In District Championship
Band Takes 4th At Champion Of Champions Competition At Mizzou
It was a busy past few days for our Band as they competed at the Bands of America competition at the Dome and also traveled to Mizzou to compete in the Champion of Champions competition. Our Viking Band did not disappoint as they competed against some of the top bands in the Midwest in best competitions. On Saturday they brought home a fourth place finish in the Champion of Champions competition at Mizzou while also earning caption awards in Visual (3rd) and Visual General Effect (3rd). Congratulations to Mr. Miller and the Band for another strong showing at two highly competitive competitions. A big thank you also goes out to the many parents that made the past few days possible through helping to move trailers, equipment and the many other working pieces for a band of over 100 members.

Boys Soccer Raises Nearly $2000 During Annual Pink Out Game
Thank you to our Boys Soccer program and to the many friends and family that made the annual Pink Out games a success. This year all three levels of the soccer program raised $1,910.52 through donations & t-shirt sales. The soccer program made the decision this season to further support the "Howell Family" theme and will be donating all proceeds to a Howell family currently battling cancer. Thank you again to the soccer program for all of their work in helping to support such a great cause and assisting a current Howell family member in need.
Mandatory Winter Meet The Coaches Set For October 23rd
The 2019 winter season "Meet the Coaches" has been set for October 23rd. Eligibility paperwork turn in will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the high school commons with the meeting portion of the evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. All eligibility paperwork must be complete to be turned in. All students participating in a winter MSHSAA sponsored activity must have this completed prior to the first day of winter sports on November 4th. It is recommended that all paperwork be turned in at the "Meet the Coaches" event on October 23rd. To ensure participation on November 4th all fully complete paperwork must be turned in no later than October 31st at noon. A link to all eligibility paperwork can be found below.

Howell Alum Patrick Schulte Earns National Honors
Howell alum Patrick Schulte had a great week for the Saint Louis University Men's Soccer team. Patrick was named the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Week as well as being named to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week. Patrick is currently the starting goalie for SLU and has recorded 4 straight shutouts and 7 on the season. Good luck to Patrick the remainder of the season.

Congratulations to Howell alum Kennedy Cordia for being named the Atlantic 10 Co-Offensive Player of the Week! Kennedy is a standout volleyball player for the Saint Louis University Women's Volleyball program. Good luck to Kennedy the remainder of the season!

Limelight Theatre To Host Trunk-or-Treat
Francis Howell Limelight Theatre will participate in the International Thespian Society’s annual Trick or Treat So Kids Can Eat food drive by hosting a Trunk-or-Treat event on Friday, October 25 from 6:00 to 9:00p.m. The event will take place in Francis Howell High School’s front parking lot located at 7001 S Missouri 94, St Charles, MO 63304.
Prizes will be awarded for Best “Pre-Carved” Pumpkin, Best Decorated Trunk, and Best Individual and Group Costumes. Try your luck with the 50/50 raffle and by guessing the weight of the GIANT bucket of candy!!! You can also buy tickets for a chance to “Pie the Drama Club President”!
Troupe 1917 will be donating ALL proceeds from this event to the O.A.S.I.S. Food Pantry. This pantry serves the residents of Saint Charles County. They offer a variety of fresh, frozen and canned foodstuffs, as well as basic hygiene items to qualified recipients.

The summer, fall, winter, and spring dead periods and starting dates for MSHSAA sponsored activities has been released for the 2019-20 school year. These dates can be found below.
