Born on May 29, 1917, in Brookline, Massachusetts, John F. Kennedy served in both the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate before becoming the 35th president in 1961. He was assassinated in, November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas.

President Kennedy flew To Dallas, Texas for a Campaign appearance. the next day, November 22,1963 along with his wife and Texas governor John Connally, rode though cheering crowds in downtown Dallas in a Lincoln Continental Convertible. From an upstairs window of the Texas School Book Depositor building, 24-years-old warehouse worker name Lee Hervey Oswald, a former Maine with Soviet sympathies, fire upon the car. Kennedy was shot twice, he died at Parkland Memorial Hospital shortly thereafter, at the age of 46.

During John's presidency he started the Peace Corp Act. He won the 1957 Pulitzer Prize. Also eased the Cold War.
