Continental Drift
My dear friend Wegenerś hypothesis that the continents were together and then drifted apart was not believed by many. Alas, the same freshwater fossils were found on two different continents which means that the continents had to drift apart because they were freshwater animals. The same plant fossils were also found on a bunch of different continents (plants can´t swim). Parts of glaciers were found in tropical areas, which is also impossible because its not cold in tropical areas. Another supporting idea would be they found the same rock structures on different continents. (Rocks can´t move on their own.

Seafloor Spreading
Seafloor Spreading
Dopey, focus here! The seafloor is moving apart because the magma is spurting up and going up into the mid-ocean ridges and creating waves (ridges), then when it gets up there into the ridges it cools. And also some of the magma is spurting up into the sides of the convection currents and creating the seafloor.
