How to Upload Student Vaccine Records
Parents and guardians can upload their student's COVID vaccine card using the MiStar Parent Portal by following the directions linked here. According to quarantine guidelines from the Wayne County Health Department, any student who is fully vaccinated will not be required to quarantine if they are identified as a close contact to a COVID positive individual. Uploading your student’s vaccine card will help the district quickly identify those students who will not be required to quarantine. Thank you for doing this once the shots are complete!
News from the Art Room

Kids Heart Challenge
Hello, Heart Heroes! Which Explorer was your favorite from this week’s KHC Kickoff? Can you remember which one really loves water? Which one loves to be active, like walking with friends and playing soccer? How about which one reminds us all to say NO to tobacco? These are all great things for your health, now it’s time to go online and take your own personal health challenge! PLUS, you get a free wristband just for signing up!
Cook Rd. Pick Up Reminders
Cook Road Line
We understand that the Cook Rd. line can be frustrating at times, and we are trying to make it better. If you pick up your child on Cook Rd. during dismissal, we are asking a couple of things:
No Cutting in on Cook Rd.
Please do not cut the line! This includes turning off of Ida and cutting into the line! Please join the back of the line on Cook Rd. and wait your turn to pull into the loading zone.
Loading Zone
We are only loading the first 4-5 cars in the front of the line, known as the “loading zone”. This is between the telephone poles where you see our kindergarten lines lined up. Please do not wave for your child to come to your car if you are not in the loading zone.
Pulling Forward
Please continue to pull forward in the line whenever possible. This keeps the line moving and discourages people from cutting the line wherever there is a gap.
Stay in Car
Never get out of your car on Cook Rd. Not only does this stop the moving line completely, but you will likely be ticketed by GPW Police.
Be on Time
Please be sure to pick up your child by 3:45, as this is teacher release time.
Thank you to everyone who continues to volunteer at lunch and recess!
