Here's what's coming up next week in 2nd grade...
Reading: Students have worked hard on identifying the theme and main idea of a story. Next week, students will work on distinguishing between the main idea and theme of a story they have read. We will take our test over Main Idea & Theme on Monday, Oct. 30.

ELA: We are continuing to work on our Georgia State Symbols research writing! Each student has chosen a different state symbol and been given research materials this past week. We will also begin our study of adjectives.
Social Studies: Continuing our Georgia Regions and Rivers unit! Students will finish up their travel brochures project and learn more about the main rivers in Georgia. Our quiz for identifying the rivers in Georgia will be coming up soon (see FSA Connect for dates!)

Ms. Minor's Math: Students will be rotating to a variety of math groups to practice their multiplication strategies! PLEASE ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO MEMORIZE FACTS AT HOME!
Home Visit Program
Home visits are a casual way for your child to spend time with his/her teacher in the comfort of their home. Teachers enjoy having a chance to see children in this comfortable environment, doing whatever makes them most happy and spend time with children and their parents outside of a regular school day.
Simply email junal@fultonscienceacademy.org with some suggested dates/times, as well as your students' name(s) and homeroom assignments. Ms. Unal will be in touch to confirm final details.
Please note: the best times to schedule a home visit are weekdays after 5:00pm.
