February 12, 2024
Thank you to all that attended Donuts with Grownups. It’s always special for students to bring a loved one to their school and have some time with them. Students have a four day Mid-Winter Break coming up with no school for students on Friday, February 16th and Monday, February 19th. Classes resume on Tuesday, February 20th for all students. After some weeks of cold weather, it looks like we have some really nice sun and warmth for February in the future. I can’t emphasize enough how important it is to check daily and send your child prepared for the conditions as recess is a very important part of your child’s school day and it’s always disappointing to them if they don’t have what they need to be comfortable while playing outside. We appreciate your help with this!

2024-25 REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!
Registration for the 2024-25 school year is open on our website here. Registration is for any new families to Franklin or new students looking to register for next year in 4K, 5K or up through 12th grade. If you have any friends or family in Franklin that plan to have children attend Franklin Public Schools next year, please pass this information along to them! Registering early helps to get all information in our system for planned communications. Any family who knows a student will not be returning for the next school year should notify your school’s main office staff.
DRESS FOR THE WEATHER
Wisconsin weather is upon us! Please make sure your son/daughter is dressed appropriately for the cold weather with hats, gloves, scarves, boots and snow pants. Snow pants and boots are required to be worn in order for students to play in the snow. However, this being Wisconsin, it can become warm and sunny by noontime. Please remind your child if they choose to remove their jacket during recess they are to be tied around their waist and not left on the playground.
The decision to have an outdoor or indoor recess is based on both the wind speed and temperature at 10:45 am. All students are required to go outside for recess daily unless the windchill is below zero or it is raining. If it is an outside recess day, all students must go outdoors. Please label your child's coat, hat, boots, & mittens with their name.
