#JROBNation let's not lose sight of Daily Learning Intentions with a splash of FUN!
Notes from Damita:
Don't lose sight...Daily Learning Intentions are not an option unless you want an optional transfer. Don't mean to sound "curt" but if we don't know where we are going each day, why we are going there, how we are going to get there and lastly how do we know they learned it; then we are spinning our wheels.
Working on the work collectively (U5):
Last week, I gave some focused and intentional suggestions for grade level collaboration and planning opportunities. In a review of the minutes, I noticed a lot of "well I am doing this in my classroom, and I am doing this in my room". I really want us to design and implement collectively on grade level content standards. We must have conversations that start with data, focus needs and instruction, alignment, and consistency by grade and departments. This week, I urge you to use your time to plan with the end in mind that leads to collective efficacy ensuring equity and access for all.
Staff Collaboration - 3/20 - Grade Level Collaboration - Plan, Plan, and Plan
Staff Collaboration - 3/27 - HLT Data Analysis (Writing in the content areas)
Notes from Paula:
Collaboration=SUCCESS: We really have enjoyed seeing levels come together to establish common expectations. In the past two weeks, middle school teachers have come up with a solution to decrease student use of the hallway before and after school, and during lunch and the 4th grade team has come together with Rec staff to establish lining up procedures. We can do amazing things when we work as a team!
Carnival: We are just one month away from our spring carnival. Please be sure to collaborate with your grade levels this week on your game booth and add it to the game booth doc. We need to give our colleagues plenty of time to begin planning for set up. Don’t forget to get your classroom families involved!
