High School Options
Attention students who have applied to BP, BCAHS, or Norfolk Aggie: at this time, ALL 7th Grade records have been sent for review. Now that Tri1 has ended, we are in the process of sending 8th Grade records and counselor recommendations. This will be completed before you leave for winter break.
Interviews for students who have applied to Bristol County Agricultural High School will take place at Nichols on December 12. Students will be contacted by Ms. Moriarty with their interview time. If you are still considering applying, please do so before this date to ensure that your interview can take place here at NMS; otherwise, it will be your responsibility to contact BCAHS and set up an interview yourself.
Interviews for students who have applied to Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical School will take place at Nichols in January. Stay tuned for more information.
Questions about high school options? Please email Ms. Moriarty to let her know how she can help.

A Note About Attendance:
Last year the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education made a slight change to the system they use to hold schools accountable. DESE now holds schools accountable for the number of students that are “chronically absent” over the course of the year. Chronically absent means missing school 10% of the time…..or 2 days per month, 9 for the first half of the year or 18 over the course of the year.
Research has shown a direct correlation between student performance and attendance. Missing just 2 days per month can have a negative impact on student performance. Those days can add up fast over the year and we need your help. Poor school attendance not only impacts your child but also our school overall.
We fully understand that kids will miss school. Things come up, life happens and kids need to be out. Overall, however, we ask that you please do your best to ensure that your child is present on school days.
Should you have any questions about this or any other matter, please do not hesitate to contact us!
What is Character Strong?
Each week, we will use the Tiger Times to highlight some of the great things our faculty, staff and students are doing to prove we are CharacterStrong!!
We dare you to try this out at home with your family..
