PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Especially during this time of year, many look for ways to give back and spread kindness. IHS students continue to exemplify the meaning of service by giving back to our community and understand that even the smallest of gestures matter. Last month, many service projects were highlighted with recent additions noted in the fundraiser section. Thank you for continuing to support Irondequoit High School and the Irondequoit Community!
COLLEGE
Do you have questions about college and how to best guide your senior? Our counselors have created a resource center accessible through our website under departments. Students can also utilize the Schoology page to find answers to support the process. Save the date for our Post High School Planning Workshop on November 16th!
COLLEGE and CAREER CENTER
The College and Career Center is another great resource where you can find calendars which include visits, job fairs, volunteer opportunities, work permit process and more.
SWAIN SKI CLUB
We have 3 more spaces available for SWAIN! If your student is interested, please see the details in the attachment and reach out to Mr. Carrick.
SAFE TRAVEL
Please be vigilant when driving to and from campus. If you have a teen driver, please remind them to come to a full stop at all stop signs, slow down and be mindful of their surroundings. We want everyone to arrive to school and home, safely!
JANUARY REGENTS; CLASSES CONTINUE CONCURRENTLY
January Regents will occur the week of January 23rd. The January Regents are scheduled for students who have completed a full year of a course, attempted the exam in June or August and need another opportunity to show proficiency.
The majority of students will take Regents exams in June. If your student is taking a course for the first time, they will not be registered for Regents exams until June. We will share more information regarding June Regents review, schedule and planning later in the year.
If your student has not yet found success on a Regents exam and is scheduled to take the exam in January, a teacher or school counselor will communicate their testing date, time and location prior to our winter break.

SAFE SCHOOL HELPLINE
If you see something, say something!
Please encourage students to report any concerns to an adult at school in addition to sharing with you. If your child wishes to remain anonymous but should report a concern, encourage them to complete the Safe School Helpline form using the link below or through the app. Reporting with as many factual details as possible will help our administrators follow up with individuals in a timely manner.
