The Mustang Minute
June 24, 2020 - Issue 42
Have a Great Summer!
We made it! I think we finally got our of March, though I am not sure what happened to April or May? It has been a very challenging ride this spring but I am so impressed with the resilience and hard work of our students! This is the last Mustang Minute of the year though I will send out more emails and newsletters as we get more guidance from the state and as NPS develops a plan for the fall, I assure you we remain hard at work preparing the best education for our students.
I hope everyone has a chance to rest and relax this summer and that we continue to follow the necessary precautions that are enabling us to do more with more people! Have a great summer!
Progress Reports Available in Aspen
Parents & Students should log into Aspen on a computer or Chromebook if possible. If using a phone or tablet go to the Menu and click View Full Site.
On the right side of the page, there is a widget (box) called Published Reports.
This is where all Progress Reports, Report Cards, and IEP Progress Reports will show up for all of the students you have access to in the portal.
When you click on the link in the filename column, the PDF will either open or download (depending on their browser settings).

An All New PTO!
This year we will be losing all of our PTO officers. Instead of trying to find a few individuals to take over those roles, we are going to look at restructuring the PTO to make it more accessible to parents while spreading out the workload across more CMS school community members. If you would like to be a part of this process, let me know! Email me at mfraczek@norwood.k12.ma.us
I plan to have a restructuring meeting early in the summer.
Bus Pass 2020-2021
We have updated all information regarding the FY21 Bus Pass on the school website, however, this year due to the closure, we are unable to physically hand students the flyers. In order to assist families the information and forms are now available on the NPS website. The bus forms are attached at the bottom of this newsletter as well.
Release of Records
Any students transferring to another school district, attending a private school or another high school other than Norwood High, please make sure to contact your child's guidance counselor before the end of the year. Attached is the release form that must be filled out in order to ensure that your child's new school receives the pertinent school information (Transcripts, attendance, testing results, health record, discipline, etc.).
Please note that all fines and fees must be paid before we can release records. This includes, technology, library, and lunch accounts.
After June 24th please contact the main office or email mfraczek@norwood.k12.ma.us about transfer information.
