IMPORTANT SAFETY DRILL INFORMATION

Please read this letter about our first fire drill. This letter will impact our virtual classrooms as well as our in person students. When we have a fire drill, the virtual teachers will need to leave the building. This is a good time for families participating in virtual learning to consider what fire drills can look like at home.

We also share in September our Run/Hide/Fight Presentation. Here i the associated letters with more information: Run/Hide/Fight Letter

LOST & FOUND UPDATE

This year we will be purging lost and found items more often so it’s important for children to keep close tabs on their belongings. It is also suggested that if possible, student items be labeled with the first and last name on it so that we can get it back to the student if it becomes lost.

ATTENDANCE FORM & NEW PROCESS FOR ALL ATTENDANCE NEEDS!

It is essential to note that attendance is now reported using THIS FORM. The attendance form is also located as a button on the main school webpage and under the “Parents Information” section. This form will require you to enter your child’s six-digit student ID number and birthdate before you can report your child absent. Student specific medical information collected by the form will remain confidential and only be shared within the health and nursing services team. This form was designed to help us rapidly assess possible cases of COVID-19 so that we can mitigate the spread of the virus. After completing the form, you may receive a follow-up phone call or email from one of our health and nursing services staff with either follow-up questions or additional information.

This attendance form should be used to report ANY attendance need for any date(s)

ATTENTION 3RD & 4TH GRADE PARENTS

All 3rd graders need a recorder and a recorder lesson book for general music. Recorder Package fee is to be paid within the district payment system. The package consists of one soprano recorder and 1 recorder lesson book. The district orders these supplies and the items are given to the students on the first day of recorder lessons. That day will vary from school to school. A list of students that have paid the fee will be given to your child’s music teacher.

If your student already owns a recorder, book or both, your child’s music teacher will gather that information later in the year prior to recorder lessons.

SCHOOL DIRECTORY SIGN UP

Sign-up for the online directory is now open! Robinwood offers an online student directory for any parents who opt in to participate. Robinwood is not permitted to share any class information, so all student/teacher information needs to be provided by the parents.

If you would like this information (for example a birthday party or playdate), you will need to sign up for the Robinwood PTO Parent directory at the beginning of the year. Only the families that sign up will be in the directory and be able to get the directory.

If you would like to have your student(s) included in the directory, please email Leslie Alles (leslie.alles1023@gmail.com) with your name, phone number, your student(s) name(s), grade(s) and teacher(s).

If you have signed up for the directory in the past, you can access it with the following link: https://robinwood.joinourclass.com/member/login. FPS CONTINUES TO USE STOPIT APP FOR INCIDENT REPORTS

Over the course of these first two weeks of school, all students are participating in a presentation about how to utilize the “StopIt” app. The motto with using the StopIt app is “if you see something, say something.” We utilized this app last year to collect reports from students for various reasons (bullying, unusual behavior, concern for other students) and we will continue to use it this year. Below is a 2-minute video that explains StopIt:
What is STOPit?
The apps for StopIt can be found here for iPhone and here for Android. Since use of the StopIt app requires a password, we have designed a graphic for our building that will be placed at the bottom of every newsletter in case you or your student needs it. Thank you to all parents and students for following the motto of “if you see something, say something.”
