Chemical change
Definition- a change in matter that produces a substance with properties different from the original substance.
Examples- rusting of iron, burning, salt and water becoming soluble so they cannot not be observed as separate substances.
Non example- chopping wood and molding clay along with fireworks
- Change in Temperature.
- Change in Color.
- Noticeable Odor (after reaction has begun)
- Formation of a Precipitate.
- Formation of Bubbles. THESE ARE SOME OF THE INDICATORS....
Chemical properties
Definition- a characteristic that is observed when another substance interacts with another substance.
Examples- combustability, flammability, and molding
Non examples- hardness fluffiness , roughness

Physical change
Definition- a change that alters the form or appearance of a material but does not change the material.
Examples- water freezing, ice cube melting, grinding peanuts to make peanut butter.
Non examples- solubility
Physical properties
Definition- a characteristic of a substance that can be observed without changing the substance into someone else.
Examples- malleability, conductivity of heat, sound, and electric, along with magnetic energy
Non examples - toxity, color change, flammability
