Notice about the reception area:
We need to keep the reception area and fire exit clear so all scooters/skateboards and rollerblades are to be neatly stored in the corridor to the right of the canteen entrance (where there is a sign on the wall). Please fold scooters if possible and try to store your item neatly and do not block the door to the passageway.

Lunchtime Park Schedule
The following Grade/s will be going to the park today:
Tuesday - Grade 7 & 8
Students not in Grade 7 & 8 who wish to visit the park may do so by signing up for any vacant places on a list at reception during morning break.
Please note there is a maximum 20 places and these are given on a first come, first served basis.
Park group leaves at:
1235
**All students going to the park will need to meet in the Hub for a prompt departure.
Remember to bring your sports and outdoor shoes for the Park!
Due to the field trips for Grade 6,7&10 tomorrow, students in Grades 8 & 9 will have the option of going to the park.
Wednesday - Grade 8 & 9
Wednesday activity update from Ms. Fritz:
Reminder to all - Stern Hall is off limits on Wednesday all day
Grade 6 & 7 Science Study: Zoo Trip - Wednesday 24 September
Grade 6 students will focus on animal adaptations and ecosystems while Grade 7 will be studying classification as they visit the zoo and take part in educational sessions taught by zoo experts.
Students will need to bring:
their Oyster card
comfortable walking shoes
a water proof
water bottle
and their charged ipad.
Students are also encouraged to bring a mobile phone if they have one. It is recommended that students bring a small backpack to carry their belongings as we will be doing a lot of walking. A packed lunch will be provided by the school but students may want to bring a small amount of money for a hot drink or ice cream.

Grade 10: Tate Britain Trip - Wednesday 24 September
Grade 10 will be visiting the Tate Britain to research sculptors like Henry Moore as well as the 19th century figure painters, which is part of their unit "Figure It Out". Students will be using their iPads to take photographs and will annotate these on their bamboo app.
Students will need:
their topped up Oyster cards
their art book
their iPads
money to buy a postcard or a snack.

We are delighted that as part of the Halcyon Guest Speakers programme, Javier Sanchez, father of Celia and Andres will be addressing students on the subject of marketing and advertising. Javier speaks from his experience in working for Coca Cola. This talk is open to all students.
