Small World Angel Program - Due Nov. 19th!

It is the time of year when the spirit of the holidays fills us with joy! We want to spread that feeling to families in Frisco who need help insuring the holidays are memorable and filled with wonder for their children. Third grade is participating in a service project to sponsor an “Angel” during this holiday season. “Angels” are less fortunate children in this community. These families and children will have a joyful and memorable holiday season with your help and generosity.

Your homeroom teacher will attach the angel need and wish list information for your child's class to the weekly e-mail.

If you would like to participate, please choose an item of need or a wish that the “angel” has listed or contact your homeroom teacher to help coordinate gifts for your class angel.

Please send your donations to school with your child:

1. Un-Wrapped (we understand the kids like to wrap the gifts, but we are limited on space and usually un-wrapped gifts take less room. The angel family will take great joy in wrapping the gifts donated.)

3. If you are buying for more than one angel, please send in separate bags, with angel number on each bag/gift

4. If you would like to donate wrapping paper, please send a roll with your gifts

Your child will bring their donation to their teacher.

Please send all gifts by Wednesday, November 19, 2014.

Welcome to the Six Flags Read to Succeed Six Hour Reading Club!

Nichols is participating in an exciting program that encourages students in grades K through 6 to read for fun. Read to Succeed is a free program sponsored by Six Flags Theme Parks.

Every student who completes six hours of recreational reading before the school’s deadline noted below is eligible for a free admission ticket valid at one participating Six Flags Theme Parks.

Students will develop a greater appreciation for books when they see that you think reading is important too. You are sure to have fun as you investigate the world of reading together!

For more information, see the Nichols Library website at https://sites.google.com/a/friscoisd.org/nichols-library/six-flags-read-to-succeed-program.
