Hillcrest Newsletter
From the Principal; November 30, 2022
Dear Hillcrest Families
Our character trait for the month of November was gratitude. I am grateful for Hillcrest's amazing staff, fantastic students, and supportive parents - thank you. As we end November thinking about gratitude, I invite you to share a note of gratitude to Hillcrest's teachers, education assistants, and support staff. You can add your name or provide an anonymous note. I will post these around our office. Here is a link to a "Note of Gratitude."
Empathy is the character trait for December. One way to think about empathy is “understanding and connecting with other people’s feelings.” Empathy is a practice that can help us grow strong relationships.
If you have questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to contact me by calling 541-756-8348 or sending an e-mail to sfletcher@nbend.k12.or.us . Thank you, Hillcrest families!

Grades K/1 on Thursday, April 27, 6:30pm
No School on Friday, December 2nd and Monday, January 2nd!
Holiday break is December 19th, 2022 through January 2nd, 2023!
School resumes on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023!
Please Watch Out for Children!
During morning drop off, if your child needs to cross a street, please walk them across. We also request that you do not drop off your child on the "cement island" at the front of the school as this requires students to walk in front of traffic to get to the main entrance.
While it may take more time, using the drop off line ensures that students do not need to cross a street or cross traffic to get to the front door. Thank you!
