Adult Dietary Guidelines

  • 30 % of your calories should be coming from fats in your diet
  • 8-10 % of your calories should originate from saturated fats
  • Up to 10% of your total calories should come from polyunsaturated fatty acids
  • 15% of your calories should come from monounsaturated fatty acids
  • Should be consuming less than 300 mg/d of cholesterol
  • Should consume no more than 2.4 g/d of sodium


  • Target Heart Rates are completely dependent on your age (See pic below)
  • You can increase cardio by going on weekly runs around a park
  • You can also increase your strength training by lifting weights at your local gym
  • Increase your flexibility by stretching before all exercises and working on stretch bands!
  • Your Body Mass Index completely depends on two things: your age and height (See pic below)
