A Holiday Message from Mr. Kauffeld
As we approach the much-anticipated holiday break, I want to take a moment to express my sincere thanks for your ongoing support and entrusting us with the care of your children.
The holiday season is a time of joy, reflection, and togetherness. May your homes be filled with warmth and laughter as you create lasting memories with your loved ones. It's a pleasure to be part of your children's educational journey, and we are grateful for the partnership we share in shaping their futures.
As we pause for the holidays, I wish you and your family moments of peace, love, and happiness. Take this time to recharge, relax, and cherish the special moments with your loved ones.
Thank you for being an essential part of the Toll Gate Middle School community. We look forward to continuing our collaborative efforts in the coming year.
Happy holidays!
Warm regards,
Michael Kauffeld

News from the Media Center
Thank you to everyone who participated in the TGMS Annual Book Fair at Barnes and Noble! We had a great turnout! Special thanks to the PTO for sponsoring the book fair. Parent and student volunteers who spoke with each customer to ensure that everyone had a voucher. To everyone who came in or purchased online, know that your purchase no matter how big or how small, helps to make a difference. Special thanks to Pictown Santa for taking time out of his busy schedule, Santa always loves a good book. Thank you to Becky Murphy, Traci Roush, and Leanne Stanford, please know how much it is appreciated that you came out to visit with the students and their families. With everyone’s support we will be able to expand our book selection, replace some well loved or missing books, and help build classroom libraries. In the words of the great author Gary Paulsen, “A book is a friend. You can never have too many.”
Thank you for helping us to have more friends at TGMS.

A message from PLSD
PLSD families, let's continue to ensure our competitions are an enjoyable experience for all attendees.
Please note the athletic expectations for students and adults. An adult must accompany ALL K-8 students to enter the winter competition; once inside the competition, K-8 students MUST be supervised by the accompanying adult.
Any action that could cause mental or physical harm is deemed inappropriate behavior and may be subject to immediate exclusion from the competition. Let's continue to work together to support a safe environment for all attendees.
Thank you.
