ANNOUNCEMENTS:
This month is passing by so fast. We hope you are enjoying the beautiful weather.
This month we have a lot of activities to do. Please if you have time and you would like to be a volunteer, this is the perfect time!!!. We need so much help these coming weeks. If you can help, please let us know.
We want to remind you that this Wednesday, April 13th it’s NOON DISMISSAL. If you are having your child stay for extended care this day and they need lunch served to them from our school kitchen, please let us know. We have to give the secretary a count of how many children are staying for extended care and need us to serve them a lunch.
If you have a daughter in our classroom, you need to send a Hawaiian skirt with her to school. Please check the dollar store for the purpose of a Hawaiian skirt.
We also want to remind you that you have to send in all pending monthly surveys you have been receiving from the school in the yellow envelope. We need them back in order to put them in their files.
Please try and read with your son/daughter daily twenty minutes a day to build a love for reading. From birth to age five, the “Reading with your Child Program” stresses the importance of reading together with your child daily. Keep reading and gathering sponsors to donate to your reading time for our Read-a-Thon. All money is due by Wednesday! Please send in your reading log along with the money. The student that read the most will get an ice cream sundae party for their class.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS: On Friday, April 22nd we are planning to have a field trip to the Tacoma Children’s Museum; so save the Day!!! We will have to collect 4.00 from each of our students. The estimated time to be there is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. You will need to send your child a boxed lunch. We will have lunch there and all parents are invited to join us as well. We will send you more information about it in the coming days.
