Assignment: The K-4 Literacy Coordinator position is a member of the Teaching and Learning Department. Using research and best practice Teaching and Learning maintains a cadre of strong and successful programs supporting learning instruction and technology for schools, children, youth and families as well as professional development courses for teachers, early learning providers and parents designed to support achievement and life-long learning.

This position is Full-Time, 40 hrs per week and 248 days per year and will be housed at the ESD 112 Vancouver Campus.

Position Description: Reporting to the Director School Improvement - Staff Development, the K-4 Literacy Coordinator works within the Literacy Leadership Cadre (LLC) and in concert with ESD staff, OSPI, and local districts to create a collaborative and coherent regional delivery system providing professional development and support to schools and school districts for K-4 literacy instruction to improve student proficiency in English Language Arts as measured by the Washington State designated assessment.
